The Pride of Wolfsburg-VW Golf MK1
As is well-known, Volkswagen Ltd. is headquartered in Wolfburg, Germany, and become one of the largest automaker today. The Golf series is a small family car produced by Volkswagen since 1974, marketed worldwide across seven generations. It's so popular around the world that it has various nameplates-such as the Volkswagen Rabbit in the United States and Canada, and as the Volkswagen Caribe in Mexico.
In May 1974, Volkswagen presented the first generation Golf as a mondern front-wheel-drive, long-range replacement for the VW Bettle. The interior design of Golf MK1 is a little too neat. The Wolfburg logo is placed in the center of the steering wheel. There is a time clock instead of a tachometer on the left side of dashboard. The silver plate on the center console, it's very impressive. A more interesting thing is that the instruction of the gear knob is placed above the cigarette lighter on the side of co-driver. For learner drivers, the design can make them crazy. Ferdianad Porsche, a designer for high-end vehicles and race cars, was appointed by Adolf Hitler who is the chancellor of Germany from 1933 to 1945, to manufacture the "People's Car"-Volkswagen. The Golf MK1 can be absolutely described as the pride of Volkswagen and Wolfsburg. WOLFSWAGEN, the name thus came into being...
